You're a lucky guy. I wouldn't be able to seperate the two, much like I can't and won't listen to any Gary Glitter songs anymore. Just the thought of what he did makes listening to his voice unbearable.

If he did not buy the house cause it was near a school, he would be playing into the hands of those who feel he is guilty. As man not proven guilty in court of anything, MJ can buy what ever he house he pleases as long as he has the money that it. To do otherwise would be to let the rule of law diminish and allow public opinion etc to run amok, like in those countries where the girls often get stoned to death even though they were the actual victims in the crime.

In 1994 Jackson was never charged, and the state closed its criminal investigation, citing lack of evidence.

In June 2005, Jackson was acquitted on all counts.

I am not standing up for MJ, but the rule of law. If you want the law to apply equally to you, then it must do so to all others.

We all know the papers are full of crap, yet we rush to believe them when it is about someone we don't like.

As for Gary Glitter. he was found guilty in a court of law twice, recognized the world over, hence he is on the child offenders list in the UK and will most probably never be allowed to leave the UK again, and will be monitored wherever he lives.

Glitter was convicted of possession of child pornography on 12 November 1999 and formally classified as a rob offender in the UK.

Early in 2006, he was convicted of committing obscene acts with minors and sentenced to three years imprisonment in Vietnam. He arrived back in the UK at Heathrow Airport at 7:10am on 22 August 2008, where he was met by British police officers.

An innocent man deserves the respect the judgment of the law gives him, a guilty man deserves everything he gets. To do otherwise would mean the law has no respect at all, and is useless.

But getting back to the topic at hand....

If I was to choose a greatest hits album for Michael Jackson... It would be...

1. The way you make me feel..
2. The girl is mine..
3. Give in to me..
4. Rock with you..
5. Blame it on the Boogie..
6. Can you feel it.. (yes with the whole Jackson 5)
7. Billy Jean..
8. Beat it..
9. Thriller
10. Ben

And the dvd would be the extended clips of all those lol with Ghosts and Moonwalker and Thriller movies... It would be called "WackoJackology" PML

Can You Feel It.

I still remember Molly Meldrum introducing the clip on Countdown. Molly was always hyping stuff up, but I think he said something like, this clip blew me away the first time I watched It, it is amazing, you wont believe your eyes... blah blah blah.

Well as a kid, I was watching thinking, yeah whatever, shut up and hurry up. But by the end of the clip I was blown away. Awesome computer graphics for 1980/81.

As for a greatest hits for MJ, wow that would be tough. Probably need a Ballads Volume, a Dance volume and a General volume.

Give In To Me lvie with Slash & half of GNR on it rocked, and so did Dirty Diana live.

Michael Jackson to sell Neverland gates, white glove

December 11, 2008 Herald Sun

THE gates of Michael Jackson's famed Neverland Ranch and one of the white gloves are going up for auction in a 2000-item sale.

Auctioneer Darren Julien said today that Jackson was sorting through thousands of personal items and his vast art collection from the abandoned Neverland Ranch and other places.

He said the five-day auction in Beverly Hills, scheduled for April 21-25, will be the first organised by Jackson, who has been living as a virtual recluse since his acquittal in 2005 on child rob abuse charges.

"He has never had one (an auction)," Mr Julien said.

"We have been working closely with him for five months and he is in complete control of this."

Mr Julien said a similar white glove once owned by Jackson fetched $US35,000 ($53,291) at an auction in 2006 ago, while a pair of the singer's white socks went for $US15,000 ($22,839) in 2005.

But he declined to put an estimate on the large wrought iron gates with a heraldic crest that led to Jackson's Neverland Ranch, near Santa Barbara in central California.

"We have not put an estimate on the gates yet. There is a lot of history there," Julien said.

In its heyday, the 2700-acre ranch included a zoo, a lake and an amusement park.

It was also the place where prosecutors claimed Jackson had molested young boys during sleepovers.

Jackson has not lived there since his acquittal and narrowly averted a foreclosure sale in May. In November, he handed over the title of Neverland to a company made up of himself and the firm that holds the $24m ($36.5m) loan on the property.

He has no permanent home currently.

The auction catalogue alone will sell for $US100 ($152) with a limited signed edition available for $US500 ($761).

A portion of the auction proceeds will go to the charity Musicares.

Jackson has been plagued with financial troubles in the past few years but Julien said the auction was not a forced sale.

"This is something that Michael is doing of his own free will. He is not being forced into it," Mr Julien said.

Highlights of the collection will go on a tour expected to include London, Tokyo, New York, Dubai and Santiago.

The April sale at the Beverly Hilton Hotel by Julien's Auctions will be broadcast on US television and online by the Auction Network.

Michael Jackson gravely ill: reports

Michael Jackson, 50, is reportedly suffering from a potentially fatal lung disease, US news reports say.

The "King of Pop" suffers from Alpha-1 antitrypsin deficiency, a rare genetic illness, an unconfirmed report said, adding that he may have to undergo a lung transplant.

"He's had it for years but it's gotten worse," Ian Halperin, author of a book on Jackson, told In Touch magazine.

"He needs a lung transplant but may be too weak to go through with it... (But) it's the (gastrointestinal) bleeding that is the most problematic part. It could kill him."

The singer, known for his hits Thriller or Bad, can barely speak and is almost blind on his left eye.

Jackson is rarely seen in public.

A few weeks ago, he was photographed in Los Angeles, wearing a Zorro-style mask.

His brother Jermaine Jackson told TV channel FOX News: "He is not well."

I love some of his music & so does my daughter. Shame he went whacko, big time. Maybe he is getting his reward now ? Lung transplant ?

I know its a bit cliche, but if you look at the whole family. Its all very different.

Michael Jackson camp denies health problems

http://au.news.yahoo.com/a/-/entertainm ... -problems/

LOS ANGELES (Reuters) - A spokesman for Michael Jackson released a statement on Monday denying as a "total fabrication" a report claiming that the former King of Pop needs a lung transplant due to a rare respiratory disease.

The statement, attributed to Jackson's "official and sole spokesperson, Dr. Tohme Tohme" and issued by Los Angeles firm Scoop Marketing, cites an interview with writer Ian Halperin in the Sunday Express in which Halperin said Jackson was suffering from Alpha 1-antitrypsin deficiency.

Halperin, who is at work on an unauthorised biography of the singer, also claims Jackson can barely speak, suffers from emphysema and internal bleeding, and has lost 95 percent of the vision in his left eye.

"Concerning this author's allegations, we would hope in the future that legitimate media will not continue to be exploited by such an obvious attempt to promote this unauthorised 'biography,'" said the statement attributed to Tohme.

"The writer's wild allegations concerning Mr. Jackson's health are a total fabrication," the statement said. "Mr. Jackson is in fine health and finalising negotiations with a major entertainment company and television network for both a world tour and a series of specials and appearances."

Jackson, 50, one of the best-selling recording artists of all time, began his musical career with his siblings in the Motown group the Jackson 5 and went on release such hit solo albums as "Thriller."

But the singer has been dogged since the 1990s by scandal and revelations about his eccentric lifestyle. He was tried and acquitted of child rob abuse charges in 2005.

Thriller to be turned into musical,

http://news.ninemsn.com.au/entertainmen ... to-musical

Broadway impresario James L Nederlander has inked a deal with Michael Jackson to turn the pop star's classic horror spoof Thriller into a stage musical.

According to a press statement issued, the Nederlander Organization will produce a musical based on the song's groundbreaking video, in which the former King of Pop turns into a werewolf while on a date. The production will feature songs from Jackson's albums Thriller and Off the Wall.

"This musical will be the exclusive Michael Jackson-authorised version of Thriller and Jackson will participate in every aspect of the creative process," said Nederlander in a statement.

"I love the idea of making Thriller a musical. Girl meets boy, they fall in love, boy has big secret, now what?" said Nederlander, whose company owns nine Broadway theatres.
