SHE first blasted onto the music scene with a seductively charged image and rebel-rock attitude.

And 20 years on, former 80's Transvision Vamp singer Wendy James still wants your love, only now she's getting it from the Sydney club scene as a DJ.

Staying true to her peroxide punk princess appeal, James turned heads on Thursday night when she jumped behind the decks at Ivy venue The Den for a rockin' set.

One of the originators of the "girl power" movement, James, 42, was the perfect choice for Ivy's "all about the chicks" entertainment theme.
